Today’s release of version 2.7 of the free Uncanny Automator plugin is our biggest since we made it free. We’re adding support for five new plugin integrations, and all have new triggers and actions in the free version. Without further ado, read on to learn more about the new plugins we’re now supporting.
It’s about time we started integrating with more of our other plugins, isn’t it? We’ve had Tin Canny support for quite some time, but integrations with our other plugins was really lacking. We’re starting to change that, and today’s release includes a new and very powerful trigger for our Uncanny Codes plugin: A code is redeemed.
That might sound basic, but consider this: now code redemption can effectively do whatever you want it to. Yes, the plugin has a LearnDash dependency (at the time of release, stay tuned!), but this integration opens up incredible possibilities:
For users of our Uncanny Codes plugin, this is a huge value-add that unlocks the plugin to work in situations well beyond LearnDash. And it’s in the free plugin.
This has been a hugely popular request from users of our Uncanny Groups plugin. More automation was needed, and today we’re delivering on that. The Automator 2.7 release supports these new actions: Create a group and Make the user the leader of a group. This means webhooks (i.e. other WP sites or non-WordPress apps) can create LearnDash Groups and even assign Group Leaders to the new groups. There are lots of very useful ways these new actions can be used:
So, yes, this does mean that with the free version of Automator, Uncanny Groups users now have support for other ecommerce platforms, support for a high seat count without incrementing quantity, adding Group Leaders to existing groups via purchase, etc. It’s now a much more capable plugin at no extra cost.
This integration supports creating normal LearnDash groups and Uncanny groups (with added support for seat count). When creating the recipe you must choose one or the other.
We heard from a lot of early Automator users that support for Wishlist Member was a must-have. We’re pleased to announce that it’s now available! The 2.7 release supports the following:
These additions let you connect membership levels to almost anything. Complete a series of LearnDash courses, add the user to a “Certified” BuddyPress group. When a user is added to a “Marketing” student membership level, enroll them in courses, add them to Zoom meetings and add them to a LearnDash group.
This addition is pretty interesting. Uncanny Automator already supports webhooks, right? For most users, what we support is probably sufficient, but there is still a lot more that can be done with webhooks that Automator doesn’t support. WP Webhooks supports more authentication options, request types, formats, translation options and more. There’s going to be a lot of value with this addition for current users of WP Webhooks, and if you haven’t heard of the plugin before but you move a lot of data between sites, it’s worth checking them out at https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-webhooks/.
The Automator 2.7 release supports “A webhook trigger is triggered” as a trigger. (I know, that’s a lot of “trigger” references, but if you use both plugins it will make sense.) With that, we support these webhook triggers on the WP Webhooks side:
If you’re looking for more, of course, watch for an upcoming Automator Pro update…
The highest rated and most widely used donation plugin for WordPress, GiveWP makes it easy to raise funds on WordPress sites. Today’s 2.7 release adds one trigger: A user makes a donation via a form. It’s simple, but it means any donation made can now trigger recipes. Maybe you add donors to a LifterLMS course, invite them to a GoToWebinar conference, add them to special member-only events. However you want to connect things, Uncanny Automator now supports it.
The release also includes a few fixes, and for MySQL 8 users, you’ll definitely need this update. We also made a change so that logs are sorted by most recent activity on the initial load.
That’s it for the Uncanny Automator 2.7 release! Don’t forget to let us know how you’re using the new integrations in the comments.

When Conditional logic will be available?
Will be great to have different actions according to different trigger values.
I had to create 8 different recipes which almost identical except user role which gives different options to different users while in case if conditional logic option available will be 1 recipe with 8 actions having “IF”
Thank you for this amazing plugin, I am so happy for purchasing it
I’m afraid the next 3 free and Pro releases will still focus mostly on integrations and a lot more triggers and actions. It won’t be until version 3.0 when we tackle some architecture changes again. Stay tuned though!
