What’s New in Uncanny Automator 1.1?

New integrations, triggers, actions, fixes and more! The first update following the launch of Uncanny Automator is a big one, so let’s take a closer look at what made it into the Automator 1.1 release.

New Integrations: WPForms and Ninja Forms

We have 2 new integrations to welcome to Automator! WPForms and Ninja Forms have been added to Automator, bringing the total number of supported WordPress plugins up to 16. (We’re still planning to get up to 25 by Christmas!) Both new integrations are popular forms plugins, and in this initial release both are only getting new form submissions as triggers. You’ll have to wait a bit longer for triggers based on form field values, but that’s coming soon to both plugins!

Both of the new form triggers are included in the Lite version of Automator, so all license holders can immediately take advantage of these new tools.

New Triggers and Actions

Pro – Basic, Plus, and Elite license owners rejoice; Automator 1.1 includes some fantastic new triggers and actions, including some popular requests from current users.

Send emails to LearnDash Group Leaders: This action allows you to send emails to a learner’s Group Leader(s). This works much the same way as the existing WordPress Send Email action, except that it’s a LearnDash action and targets a user’s Group Leader(s).

User Submits a form with a specific value: A new trigger for Contact Form 7, we’ll make this one available for all of our form plugin integrations soon.

Remove user from one or all groups: This BuddyPress action makes it easy to remove users from BuddyPress groups in your recipes.

Other Updates

Our Zapier integration gets a huge improvement in this release. We added a button to test webhooks without having to make your recipes live! This is going to make setting up a Zapier action far easier and more reliable.

LearnDash Mark Course Complete actions now work even if a user isn’t enrolled in a course. Previously our action did require enrollment, but after some convincing arguments for our users about why we should remove that restriction, any course can now be marked as completed for a user.

Finally, we now allow developers to add buttons to their trigger and action options panels. That should open up some new opportunities for plugin developers adding their own integrations to Uncanny Automator.

And if you don’t have Automator yet, what are you waiting for? With our money-back guarantee, there’s no risk in trying out the new triggers and actions on your own site!
