Automate

Automate Blogging

Uncanny Automator takes the tedium out of blogging with WordPress.

#1 — The problem

Stop blogging the hard way

WordPress started out as a personal blogging platform. However, since those early days, running a successful blog has become much more complex, involving multiple plugins and themes, comment threads, regular contributors, blog and comment subscribers and more.

Staying on top of it all has become a full-time job—and then some. But with Uncanny Automator, it doesn’t have to be. Here’s what the old, manual workflow might look like:

When a new post is ready, the post author saves a draft and emails the blog owner to let them know.
The blog owner reviews, then publishes the post.
The blog owner emails a summary of the post to the blog’s email subscribers, with a link to the full post.
The blog owner notifies their site’s affiliates of the new post.
The blog owner posts an update to their bbPress discussion forum and BuddyBoss sitewide activity stream.
The blog owner posts the article to Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter and LinkedIn.

#2 — The solution

Let automation do the hard work

Here’s what an automated version of the same workflow might look like:

When a new post is ready, the post author saves a draft and the blog owner is automatically notified on Slack that a new post is ready to be published, with a link to the draft.
The blog owner reviews, then publishes the post.
Uncanny Automator automatically publishes the new post to the blog’s Facebook Page, Twitter/X account and Linkedin company profile, automatically emails the new post to the blog’s email subscribers, automatically emails site affiliates notifying them of the new post, and automatically posts an update to a specific bbPress discussion forum and the BuddyBoss sitewide activity stream.
